AK Child & Family is blessed to have so many dedicated and talented individuals working for youth and families in Alaska. Every month we recognize and honor employee-nominated SPIRIT award winners in our all-staff meeting and highlight their accomplishment in the front office of our Jesse Lee Campus on Abbott Road for all visitors to the agency to see.
Time and again we’re reminded that without the knowledge, passion, commitment, and support of our employees we simply couldn’t exist to provide much needed services. Whilst we strive to celebrate and recognize all who serve on a daily basis, recognition of our employee’s contributions isn’t limited to within our organization; for instance supporting denominations regularly recognize and lift-up in praise the work of our staff. And from time-to-time the opportunity to celebrate community-based recognition arises.
It is with great pleasure that last Friday we celebrated Director of Residential Services Rachel Cooper’s successful nomination and award as one of the Journal of Commerce’s annual “Top Forty Under 40” in Alaska. Included in this blog is the published article developed by the Journal of Commerce. Congratulations Rachel! We’re proud to see one of our staff receiving this prestigious award and wanted to share the moment with all those who support AK Child & Family. Thank you Rachel for your dedication and commitment to the agency. And, thank you to all the staff, volunteers, supporters, and stakeholders who work tirelessly in support of Alaska’s youth and families.
“Congratulations to our very own Rachel Cooper on her Top 40 Under 40 award! Centerpieces and Rachel’s gorgeous bouquet by Bagoy’s Florist—beautiful!”
