Now is a great time for those who are interested in changing jobs, getting into a new career field, or, if you are a college student, breaking into your career field. The spring season draws many different potential employers to job fairs conducted at different venues; several of which AK Child & Family will be attending.
I really enjoy going to job fairs for many reasons. I get to meet a lot of fresh new faces, mutually share life stories with the individuals I meet, and share what I love about working at AK Child & Family.
We have some amazing employment opportunities available right now! We have direct care positions available in both our Residential (Psychiatric Treatment Counselor) and Community programs (Activity Therapist), Case Manager, Clinical Therapist, Registered Nurse, and Licensing Coordinator / Recruitment Specialist. For more information about our open positions please visit our Employment page.
If you, or anyone you know, are interested in coming to a job fair and learning more about employment opportunities at AK Child & Family, here is a list of upcoming job fairs:
- University of Alaska Anchorage’s City-Wide career fair on Thursday, February 19th, from 9am-3pm.
- Alaska Pacific University on Tuesday, February 24th, from 11am-2pm.
- University of Alaska Fairbanks’ job fair on Tuesday, February 25th, from 11am-4pm in the Wood Center.
- Mat-Su job fair presented by the Department of Labor on Wednesday, March 11th, from 11am-3pm.
I am excited to be visiting my Alma mater, UAF, for the job fair and will be remaining in Fairbanks for the 26th and 27th to meet with groups and go into classrooms.
