Programs & Services

Alaska Children’s Services provides care to students 6-18 years of age. Our students come from all walks of life. All of our programs are based in Anchorage. However, our students come from all over the state of Alaska. Many are returning to Alaska from an out-of-state placement.

Community Programs is a description of our home-based services from Case Management to Activity Therapy to Social Skills Development.

Therapeutic Foster Treatment, part of our Community Programs, is short-term foster care provided by specially trained caregivers.

The Spiritual Life Program is part of our Residential Treatment Program. Student participation is strictly voluntary. This program is designed to be inclusive and bring people together regardless of their backgrounds.

The Mike McDonald Partnership in Treatment Fund is a unique program to assist students and families who do not have other resources to pay for ACS services.
