THERAPEUTIC FOSTER PARENTS
Therapeutic Foster Parents provide foster care for children and adolescents with emotional and/or behavioral problems, helping them develop the skills and behaviors necessary for them to reside in a less restrictive setting. Foster parents with Alaska Children’s Services receive a generous tax-free stipend; training; case management/crisis intervention/activity therapy support; and paid respite. Therapeutic Foster Parents are an integral part of the child’s treatment team.
